NEW FEATURES IN ACROBAT READER 3.0B1
====================================
For a list of features in Acrobat Reader which have been
added since the release of Acrobat Reader 2.1, please see Adobe's
web site at http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/3beta/ambernew.html
VIEWING PDF PAGE-AT-A-TIME OVER THE WEB
=======================================
Best viewing performance for PDF documents over the Web comes from
optimized PDF files and a server with the ability to byteserve the
files. We have provided a set of demonstration files on Adobe's server
to allow you to try the page-at-a-time performance for yourself. See
http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/3beta/amexamp.html for examples.
Any non-optimized PDF file can be viewed in the Netscape window (without
page-at-a-time display) with the Acrobat Reader 3.0b1 and Netscape
Navigator version 2.0 or better.
KNOWN PROBLEMS
================
Known problems in Acrobat Reader 3.0B1 include:
You may encounter problems when attempting to view files larger
than 4 Mb from within a Web browser.
This release of VIEWER32.EXE is not fully compatible with
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 beta.
On Windows 95 and Windows NT, double clicking on a pdf document in the
File Manager doesn't open the document when Acrobat Reader 3.0b1 is
open. You can still open the file from within the Acrobat Reader.
For a more complete list of known problems, check Adobe's web site
at http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/3beta/knownbug.html
